This years Homecoming Festival Design was created by Vickie "Flood" Brown

With the miner in the tongue of the boot and the pick & helmet in the heal, our heritage is brought together as well as Zeigler's tie with Illinois (The shadow for the map of Illinois). The black color of the boot is for the coal that was ripped from the earth of Zeigler. The RED/WHITE/BLUE is Zeigler's strong belief in the American Way even though Zeigler is a melting pot of diverse cultures.
