Dry Road Memories

The Dusty Dry Road

Many of us have fond memories of the road leading out of Zeigler.  Past the old horse show coral, onward past the oil fields located in the Big Muddy bottoms towards the City Lake.  Whatever your reason for traveling on the Dry Road, one thing is certain. The dust that is kicked up due to your passing settled everywhere; so much so that sometimes, if you were following another car, you normally had to roll the windows up tight so you could breathe and slow down.  Slowing down allowed the dust to settle just so you could see a bit in front of you during your drive down the dry road.

Hence the name Dry Road.

Dry Road Dust

Dust lingers for awhile.

Located at the end of Coxspur then North or South along the road that many remember with differing memories. (If you have a story about Dry Road or other any other story that you would like to share email it here.
