Perrine. Lester A. - Lester Perrine was born November 1. 1919 and resided in Royalton. On July 17, 1943 at the age of 23 years, 8 months, and 16 days he was drafted into the U.S. Army at Fort Sheraton, Illinois? He served in Col B, 156th Bn, JRTC during the invasion of France and into Belgium where he was promoted to the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was captured by the Germans and sent to Stalag as a POW. After the surrender of Germany Sergeant Perrine was discharged from Camp Hood, Texas on November 24, 1945.
