(EMAIL 1) From Melody Hills
Visited your web site on Zeigler and want to thank you and commend you for such a nice glimpse into history. I am including a picture of my Grandparents as they were prominent in Zeigler and very much a part of it's cultural history. The twin girls still return to attend high school reunion. The boys John Jr. and Stanley are only recently deceased. Eva lived to be 101 years old and is still missed by her neighbors on Maple Street .
With a Song in my heart for Zeigler and friends.

What a wonderful web site. I am the grand daughter of one of your towns Historical Couples. Eva and John Venoski built and resided in two homes at 801 & 803 Maple Street . John and Eva immigrated from Lithuania somewhere around 1915. He was a coal miner and farmed a small pasture just at the edge of town. Many times he could be seen walking his cows from the pasture to the barn in back of the Maple street home. Photo taken by LYLE SMITH (also Zeigler resident and prize winning photo) a big THANKS for the lovely site... PS MY best friend in grade school JOY Sandefur ...married to Johnny Vaughn Her Dad rented the batchelor house in back of my grandmothers. My mother and her twin (born in 1921) still going strong attend the highschool class re-unions.
