Today in America, a piece of history died,
as many people watched, most of them cried
This landmark brought many people, hours of pure joy,
especially to all, the poor ole country boys
Through the heat of the summer, and the coldest of night,
it was a family landmark, in all of it’s might
When it passed away, it was like loosing a friend,
and nothing was as satisfying, as this landmark had been
It kept a lot of families happy, and free from pain,
and now that it’s gone, things aren’t nearly the same
It’s served a lot of people, some times two at a time,
it was there when we needed it, through rain and through shine
Yes, a piece of history, was allowed to die,
it had no way of surviving, even though it had tried
The American flag should fly, at half mast in our town,
because today they tore the old “Outhouse” down
